Our Process

A Journey of Meticulous Care

Every timepiece that enters our atelier undergoes a structured, transparent process developed over decades of master watchmaking.

01
Initial Inspection & Diagnosis

A senior watchmaker performs a comprehensive examination of your timepiece — movement, case, dial, crystal and bracelet — and provides a detailed service estimate.

02
Complete Disassembly

Every component of the movement is carefully disassembled in our dust-controlled atelier, catalogued, and inspected under high-magnification optics.

03
Ultrasonic Cleaning & Lubrication

Parts are cleaned in pharmaceutical-grade ultrasonic baths, dried, then lubricated with approved oils to precise manufacturer specifications.

04
Reassembly & Case Refinement

The movement is meticulously reassembled. The case, bracelet and bezel are polished, brushed or restored to their original finish.

05
Performance Testing & Certification

Each watch is tested for accuracy, water resistance, power reserve and timekeeping performance before a full certification document is issued.

Questions We're Often Asked

How often should a luxury watch be serviced?

Most Swiss manufacturers recommend a full service every 3 to 5 years, depending on the complexity of the movement and how frequently the watch is worn. Quartz watches may require less frequent servicing. We offer a complimentary service advisory during every callback consultation.

Do you use genuine spare parts?

Absolutely. We source only manufacturer-approved, genuine components. Where OEM parts are unavailable (particularly for vintage pieces), we use certified equivalent parts and document all replacements transparently in your service report.

How long does a full service take?

A standard full movement overhaul typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the calibre and parts availability. We provide an accurate estimate after initial inspection and keep you updated throughout the process.

Is my watch insured while in your care?

Yes. Every timepiece entrusted to Luxury Time is covered under our comprehensive watchmaker's insurance from the moment it enters our service centre until it is returned to you. Your piece's full declared value is protected.

Can you service watches that are no longer under manufacturer warranty?

Yes, we service all luxury timepieces regardless of warranty status. Our independent certification means your watch receives the same standard of care — without voiding any remaining warranty in most cases. We advise on a per-brand basis during consultation.

What is included in the performance test?

Our comprehensive performance test covers multi-position timing accuracy, power reserve verification, water resistance pressure testing, date and complication function checks, and winding mechanism performance. A full written certification is issued upon completion.
