Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before and after your purchase. Our boutique team is always available for anything beyond.

Authenticity & Authorisation

Are all watches sold by Luxury Time genuine and authorised?

Yes, without exception. Luxury Time is an authorised retailer for every brand we stock — including Rado, Longines, TAG Heuer, Breitling, Ebel, Concord, and Franck Muller. Every timepiece is sourced directly through official brand channels and comes with its original manufacturer warranty card, brand box, and documentation. We have never stocked grey-market or parallel-import pieces.

Will I receive a manufacturer's warranty with my purchase?

Yes. Every watch is sold with the official international manufacturer's warranty, activated from the date of purchase. Warranty durations vary by brand — typically between two and five years. Your warranty card will be completed and included with your order.

How do I verify my watch's authenticity after purchase?

Each timepiece ships with its original certificate, serial number documentation, and brand seal. For additional peace of mind, most of our brands — Rado, TAG Heuer, Longines, and Breitling among them — offer online serial number verification through their official websites. Our team is also available in-store to walk you through the authentication details of your specific piece.

Pricing & Payment

Are the prices on the website the official India MRP?

Yes. All prices on luxurytime.in reflect the current India MRP, inclusive of applicable taxes. Prices are updated periodically to reflect official manufacturer revisions. If you have a question about a specific model's pricing before placing your order, please feel free to contact us.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking, and select EMI options at checkout. All payments are processed through a fully encrypted, secure gateway. For in-boutique purchases at our Ahmedabad or Surat locations, cash is also accepted — however, as per Government of India regulations, cash transactions above ₹2,00,000 are not permitted. For purchases exceeding this amount, payment via card, UPI, or bank transfer is required.

Do you offer EMI or financing options?

Yes, EMI options are available through select banks and payment partners at checkout. No-cost EMI eligibility varies by card issuer and transaction amount. For large purchases or bespoke arrangements, please speak with our boutique team directly.

Delivery & Shipping

Do you ship across India? Is there a shipping charge?

We offer complimentary insured shipping on all orders across India. Each timepiece is carefully packaged and dispatched with a trusted courier partner. We do not currently offer international shipping.

How long does delivery take?

Metro cities typically receive orders within 3–5 business days. Other locations may take 5–7 business days. Each watch undergoes a final inspection before dispatch, which may add 1–2 days to the timeline. Tracking information is shared via SMS and email once your order is dispatched.

How is the watch packaged for delivery?

Every order is shipped in its original brand box, secured within discreet tamper-proof outer packaging. There is no external branding that indicates the contents — for both security and discretion. The package is fully insured against transit damage or loss.

Returns & After-Sales

What is your return and exchange policy?

Every timepiece we dispatch is personally inspected, verified, and sealed before it leaves our boutique. Because of this, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been delivered — this is a deliberate policy, not a limitation.

We hold ourselves fully accountable for what is within our control. If your watch arrives with damage caused by us or by the courier in transit, we will resolve it completely — replacement, repair, or full refund, at our expense.

To make a damage claim, an unboxing video is required. Please record your unboxing from the moment you open the outer packaging — without pausing or cutting. This protects you as much as it protects us, and ensures your claim is resolved without dispute or delay.

For full details, see our Returns & Cancellation policy.

Do you offer servicing for watches not purchased from Luxury Time?

Yes. Our service team handles diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs for the majority of brands we carry — including pieces purchased elsewhere. Visit any of our boutiques in Ahmedabad or Surat, or learn more on our Service & Repairs page.

Watch Care & Knowledge

What is the difference between automatic and quartz movements?

A quartz movement is battery-powered and extremely accurate — losing only a few seconds per month. An automatic (self-winding) movement is powered entirely by the motion of the wearer's wrist through a rotor mechanism, with no battery required. Automatic watches are considered the traditional standard in fine watchmaking — the engineering, craftsmanship, and heritage they represent are central to why collectors value them. Most automatic watches have a power reserve of 38–72 hours.

How often should a luxury watch be serviced?

Most manufacturers recommend a full service every 3 to 5 years, depending on the movement type and frequency of wear. Between services, avoid strong magnetic fields, extreme temperatures, and sharp impacts. For quartz watches, battery replacement is typically needed every 1–3 years depending on the calibre.

What do water resistance ratings actually mean?

Water resistance ratings indicate protection under controlled conditions — not unrestricted submersion.

30m - Splash and light rain only. No immersion.
50m - Brief, gentle submersion. Hand-washing and light swimming.
100m - Swimming and snorkelling.
200m+ - Recreational diving. Only watches marked "Diver's" fully comply with international ISO standards for scuba use.

Gaskets degrade over time — water resistance should be tested with every full service.

How do I care for my watch at home?

Wipe the case and bracelet gently with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear. Avoid contact with perfume, solvents, and chemicals, which can deteriorate gaskets and straps over time. Store the watch away from magnetic sources — speakers, phones, and laptop closures can affect the accuracy of mechanical movements. When not wearing an automatic for extended periods, a watch winder helps maintain the power reserve.
