In the latest news from Breitling, a captivating capsule collection has been unveiled, drawing inspiration from the picturesque landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. Earth-toned hues and sophisticated tweed characterize this new line, signaling a departure from the conventional.

Breitling’s iconic SuperOcean dive watch, originally crafted in the 1950s for the fashion-forward explorer, seamlessly transitioning from sea to land, takes on a new persona with the Superocean Heritage ’57 Highlands Capsule Collection. This time, the journey beckons enthusiasts to explore the rugged coastlines and misty peaks of the Scottish Highlands.

Breitling’s CEO, Georges Kern, shared insights into the collection’s narrative, stating, “All our capsule collections tell a different story. For the Superocean Heritage ’57 Highlands Capsule Collection, we wanted to evoke a very specific feeling of walking in the Scottish Highlands.”

The collection, designed to accompany every step of the wearer’s journey, is offered in limited volume for a restricted time frame. Each piece boasts a 38 mm diameter and features dial colors inspired by the land and sea, including beige, green, mustard, and blue. Triangular indexes reminiscent of mid-century design mark the hours, paying homage to the vintage SuperOcean predecessor.

A distinctive Scottish touch permeates the Highlands Capsule Collection through tweed-inspired fabric straps, made from a luxurious blend of silk and wool. Sold with a metal mesh bracelet, each watch also includes a separate pouch containing a complementary fabric strap and a springboard tool for easy strap changes.

Tweed-inspired straps, subtly speckled, complement the colored dials: dark brown for the blue version, classic brown for the beige dial, and green for both the green and mustard-toned dials. An additional blue strap is available for those who prefer to mix and match.

The watches feature stainless-steel cases and ultra-hard, scratch- and shock-resistant ceramic bezels rimmed in 18k red gold. A luminescent dot on the bidirectional rotating bezel pays homage to the Superocean’s heritage as a dive watch.

Driving the collection is the Breitling Caliber 10, offering a power reserve of approximately 42 hours when not in use. As with all Breitling watches, these timepieces are COSC-certified (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres), providing independent confirmation of their precision and performance.

Whether navigating daily life, seeking refuge in a country inn, or exploring craggy shorelines, the Superocean Heritage ’57 Highlands Capsule Collection seamlessly blends style and function, telling a compelling story with every passing moment. Breitling Watch Collection
